Recruiting best talent is a stance that every company has been focusing on for its survival. This has thus increased the competition for talented individuals in technology skills. However, there is something more than just recruitment to focus on. Teamwork and synergy should be the ultimate goal. According to a LinkedIn analysis, the software industry has recorded a turnover rate of 13.2 percent. A survey conducted by CareerBuilder shows that the number of current workers, who are actively looking to shift jobs, has reached 29 percent. This number should keep the chief information officer on toes to find a solution. For this war to end, a peace agreement would help look for scalable solutions to address the problem.

There are three ways in which this can be achieved. Keeping your talent is a phrase that refers to employee maintenance. Employers should look for things that will keep their employees on the job. Successful and long-standing teams nurture two important things. First is belonging and a sense of protection. Directives from the C-suite cannot build the belonging. However, this is developed via collaboration. It’s through teamwork that coworkers demonstrate their worth to it on regular basis.

Second is a sense of proprietorship which, incorporates success as an achievement for all, not just the top management. Are our voices heard? Can they influence projects? These are the questions that concern software developers, hence creating accountability. If this can be achieved, then employee and talent maintenance is closer to your door. Talent wars are a result of scarcity of talent. This can be resolved by cultivating home-based talents through on-campus recruiting programs. However, corporations in the 90s and 2000 abolished this which eroded brand cognizance along with developing newer techs. Though this is a critical measure of the inclusive solution, it may take time to cultivate it back.

According to Forbes.com, the modern business environment is persistently evolving. This has made problem-solving more complex. This requires diligence and creativity. Therefore, firms must look for answers outside the box. Tech contracting may require outsourcing partnership with three major qualities namely speed, cost and quality. Companies in the past preferred outsourcing IT requirements from overseas. In as much as this reduced costs, quality issues and security concerns led to less savings. This calls for aground software development that guarantees speed, convenience and quality. The strategic solution for war on talent can be by hiring remote workers for software development.
