Entrepreneurs explore business opportunities available to them. The MMA world just might soon find an unexpected person choosing the enter the world of MMA. Rapper 50 Cent could be making a move and trying his luck in MMA.

Stunningly, the legendary entertainer and entrepreneur involvement with MMA doesn’t seem to entail becoming a promoter. 50 Cent may very well jump into the cage at Bellator. Yes, the rap legend wants to be an MMA fighter.

Last week, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson took to Twitter and told his fans his new project would “blow their minds.” Since Jackson scored his most recent successes in the TV and motion picture business, most likely assumed he would be announcing another entertainment project. Few would guess Jackson has an interest in MMA. Apparently, the interest exists.

Curtis Jackson also made news in calling out MMA fighter and fan favorite Quentin “Rampage” Jackson. He might be doing more than just calling out the fighter. Per reports, the “50 Cent” vs. “Rampage” bout could be far beyond the planning stages. Curtis Jackson had a meeting with Bellator head Scott Coker on May 4. Indications are Curtis Jackson signed a contract with the promotion. Was it a contract to battle Quentin Jackson in the near future?

According to thesun.co.uk, since Jackson tweeted about his MMA endeavor, things seem to be moving forward. Jackson would doubtfully herald upcoming news about a stalled project or one that was stuck in the early stages of development. Then again, he never actually mentioned MMA in the tweet. So, the tweet could really be about something else. Granted, the tweet went out 24 hours before the meeting with the Bellator head fueling speculation. Jackson’s entrepreneurial and entertainment endeavors seem to be vast. The deal could involve any manner of projects. The 50 Cent/Rampage fight hoopla could be a publicity-generating gambit.

Don’t discount the possibility of an actual MMA fight taking place though. Curtis Jackson, like many artists and entrepreneurs, loves a challenge. He surely enjoys publicity as well. The publicity from a 50 Cent/Rampage Jackson fight would be huge. So would the monetary payoff. Jackson likely looked at the returns for the McGregor/Mayweather fight and realized a super-hyped fight could lead to a mega-money gate.
