Over the years, rapper 50 Cent has been involved in a number of feuds with other hip-hop artists. Among the most famous feuds may be his beef with Ja Rule. In order to continue with that theme in 2018, 50 decided to troll his rival in a hilarious way. While on its face it appeared he was showing love to his fellow hip-hop artist, it helped make him look unsuccessful.

According to Hot New Hip Hop, 50 Cent decided to put some money down to buy tickets to the Ja Rule show. It wasn’t to show support for the longtime rapper, though. Instead, it was to pick up 200 tickets and keep the seats empty for the show. That trolling cost 50 Cent $15 per ticket, or $3,000, which 50 considered a relatively inexpensive way to make his statement. Thanks to Groupon, he got a great deal for the troll move.

This past week, 50 Cent trolled Ja’s record labelmate, Ashanti. The singer was forced to cancel a poorly-promoted last minute show after it only resulted in 24 tickets being sold. 50 suggested on Twitter that she could do “basement parties” to “still feel like it’s lit.” He went on to delete the post. Ashanti was asked by TMZ how she felt about 50’s comments and she called the hip-hop star a “bully.” She also mentioned, “Officer Curtis better cut it out,” referring to his alleged snitching from the past.

The Ja rule concert is scheduled for Friday, November 9 at the Arlington Backyard in Arlington, Texas. Tickets are still being advertised online for a range of $15 up to $60 each. One has to wonder if 50 Cent might show up just to fill one of those 200 seats he bought and do some more trolling, should the show take place.
