If you love pizza and beer, then you will be happy to know that you may be able to get both when you order from Pizza Hut. The company recently announced that they will be testing beer and wine delivery services in select cities. Stacy Lynn Bourgeois is the director of brand marketing for Pizza Hut. She stated that Pizza Hut is excited to offer beer and wine delivery to customers.
This service will soon be available in Phoenix. People will be able to get Bud Light and Budweiser. Delivery is available for a flat fee of $10.99. The service will be available in January 2018. Stacy did not say where the service will be expanded to after it makes its debut in Phoenix.
Pizza Hut is offering this service in order to boost its sales. Pizza Hut has not been performing as well as KFC and Taco Bell. In October 2017, the company announced that it had a new delivery system that will keep the pizzas hotter for a longer period of time. They also stated that they will hire 14,000 new drivers by the end of 2017. Additionally, Pizza Hut has launched a loyalty program. People will earn points every time that they make a purchase from Pizza Hut.
Beer and wine delivery may help give PIzza Hut an advantage over Domino’s and Pizza Hut. Those pizza chains only offer water and soft drinks with their delivery service. Pizza Hut already has a license to distribute alcohol. The company will only deliver to people who are at least 21-years-old. Customers are required to show their ID.
Stacy did not say what type of wine they will be delivering. She also did not say whether people will be able to get a single serving or a full bottle of wine.
