The Ultimate American Dream TV Show

Shark Tank is the ultimate American dream TV show. It gives the opportunity for inventors and small business owners to do a short presentation to a panel of millionaires and billionaires investors. The main goal being to convince the “Sharks” that their business or product is worth their investment and efforts. On the other hand, the Sharks are there to make a profitable investment and make more money. They request in exchange for their money to own a percentage of the company and sometimes a royalty. You know the rich want to get richer. Of course for the Sharks, their main objective comes before caring about someone’s feelings or passion. Often times the Shark are extremely blunt and borderline offend people. Let’s put it this way, you’ll know right away when they don’t like something.

The opportunity of presenting to the Sharks along with 6 million viewers and potentially closing a life-changing deal is what makes the show so interesting. The show also gets you inspired and motivated to come up the next big idea. After seeing some of the successful simple ideas and products you will have your head spinning day and night. I mean, it looks like anybody could have come up with any of these ideas. Unfortunately, the majority of the people don’t get a deal but those who do experience tremendous success. Some of the more successful stories are shared with a follow-up explaining what happened after the Shark Tank episode. Others have been featured in an episode of “Beyond The Tank”.

Who Are The Sharks?

Overall the Sharks are self-made millionaire/billionaire entrepreneurs who have built extremely successful companies from the bottom up. Some have sold their companies for big bucks. As you can imagine they have connections all over different industries. But they each have their own expertise and experience. Here are the Sharks and their stories:

Kevin Harrington (Season 1 and 2)

Kevin made his fortune in the media and infomercial business. He created and founded multiple companies within this space. He is the CEO of an internet company TVGoods and also Chairman of the Board Of Directors for As Seen On TV,Inc. Kevin Harrington has a net worth of $450 million.

Barbara Corcoran

She started her own real estate firm with $1000 she borrowed from her boyfriend at the time. Over the next 25 years, she turned those $1000 into a $5 billion real estate company. Barbara Corcoran is the founder the Corcoran Group. She currently has 150 business partners all with successful businesses. Barbara has a current net worth of $80 million.

Daymond John

During the 1990s Daymond saw an opportunity to create his own clothing brand and space. He is the founder of FUBU (For Us, By Us). He started packaging and selling clothes out of his garage. Daymond and his mother were forced to mortgage their own home to get a $100,000 loan. By 1998 the company had $350 million in revenues. Daymond is currently worth  $250 million.

Lori Greiner

She is all about creating one idea at a time and making millions out of it. That’s how she made her fortune. She has created over 400 products and holds 120 patents. Lori has hosted her own show Clever & Unique Creations by Lori Greiner for the last 16 years. She has been known as the “Queen of QVC-TV” serving as a celebrity for the last 20 years on the show. Lori has a current net worth of $50 million.

Robert Herjavec

Robert has the perfect American dream story. He is the son of Croatian immigrants who came to the US with nothing. His father a factory worker who barely made a living. Robert beat all the odds by creating and selling two technology companies. He is now the head of the Herjavec Group, a leading IT security firm. Robert currently has a net worth of $100 million.

Kevin O’Leary

This is the Shark that steals the show with his ruthlessness and love for money. He made all his money teaching children how to read. He launched his company SoftKey Software Products from his basement. Subsequently, he bought out all of his competitors. In 1999 he sold his company to Mattel Toy Company for 3.7 billion dollars. Kevin has a net worth of $300 million dollars.

Mark Cuban

Best for last or richest for last. Mark Cuban is the founder of multiple groundbreaking internet companies including Broadcast.com, MicroSolutions and DNet. He has also been a major investor in other highly successful companies. If that wasn’t enough he also owns the Dallas Mavericks. Mark is the only billionaire sitting inside the shark tank with a net worth of $3.3 billion dollars.

There are other guest Sharks who take part in multiple episodes including Chris Sacca, Troy Carter and even Ashton Kutcher. Shark Tank airs on ABC network and is currently in Season 8. So you can sit down and binge watch it. Trust me you’ll become an overnight inventor and entrepreneur.

This is a great show. It’s interesting to see the things people come up with and become millionaires with like the simplest ideas. We got to come up with a gadget and become a millionaire as well. Come on guys who is in?

I freaking hate Lori, she’s so cocky because she has QVC…she brings it up all the time. I also noticed that Mark Cuban slowed down in investments in the last few seasons.

Yea I noticed that about Mark too. I don’t know why since he is a freaking billionaire he has enough money to go around the world! He’s stingy as fuck.

Sometimes I get chills seeing some people reach their dream of blowing up their company with the help of a shark. Look at the joy in their faces after striking a deal with a shark.

I really enjoy the personalities of all the sharks but I really wonder what the hell is wrong with Barbara’s eye? It twitches sometimes during the show….maybe it’s from counting big stacks every night.
