For those users who are running Windows 7 or Windows 8 you have the ability to do a free upgrade to Windows 10. I bet most of you already knew that due to Microsoft’s push notifications. Having said that, you have less than a week to upgrade with a deadline of July 29th. Here is why you should upgrade now. As soon as you upgrade to Windows 10 your computer will receive a “digital entitlement”. The digital entitlement allows you to downgrade to your previous Windows and upgrade again at a later time. Even if you did not want to upgrade now you can always upgrade later. On the contrary, after July 29th you will be in the hole for a minimum of $119 for Home edition. For those who embrace change Windows 10 comes with a full range of upgrades and features including:
- Faster boot up (Fast Startup) option
- Stylish modern design
- Cortana personal assistant
- Microsoft account integration and sync across multiple PCs
- New Start Menu with editable live titles
- Windows Store and Apps that run on your desktop
- Automatic driver updates through Windows Updates (Can be disabled if needed)
- Better Window/Screen space management
- Windows Defender/Malware protection
- Virtual Desktops
- Action Center providing reminders and useful information
- Integration of XBOX app
- Automatic Battery saving options
These are just some of the new cool features of Windows 10. Windows 10 overall is a major improvement from the controversial and horribly rated Windows 8. Being a Windows 10 user for almost a year I can truly say that it feels like the best of both worlds between Windows 7 and Windows 8. That is the best way that I can describe my experience so far. If you are still not convinced whether to upgrade now or later here is a quick demo released by Microsoft. WARNING: Please ignore this Bros hair and concentrate on the information provided.

You are still in time but time is quickly running out. There are a total of 350 million users who have already upgraded if peer pressure works on you. I recommend you upgrade, give it a test run since it’s free now and if you are dissatisfied then downgrade. Either way, you are only delaying the inevitable since end of support will come to Windows 7 and 8 before Windows 10.
