Fans gawked in amazement during the Cleveland Browns and Tampa Bay Buccaneers game on Sunday, November 27, 2022. A skunk somehow got into section 141 at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio. While some fans scurried to get away, other fans grabbed their cellphones to capture video of the skunk. Officials with the Cleveland Browns admit that they do not know how the skunk got into the stadium during the game.
Rally Skunk
There is no report that the skunk sprayed anyone. The media branded the animal the rally skunk. Tampa and Cleveland were tied during the second quarter when the skunk appeared, but the Browns ended up winning the game in overtime.
No News on Skunk’s Fate
There is no report of what happened to the skunk, which officials hustled to catch. The team has made no official statement on the incident.
Rally Possum
This is not the first time officials with the Browns have dealt with wild animals at one of their games. In 2018, fans spotted a possum during a Browns game. At that time, the Browns had not won a game in 635 days, but they won. The possum reappeared two weeks later during the team’s game against the New York Jets, and they also won that game.
Will the Skunk Appear Again?
There is currently no news if the skunk will make a second appearance during the team’s next home game, scheduled to occur on December 18, 2022, against the Baltimore Ravens. Unlike in 2018, the Browns have had a pretty successful year, and they may be heading to the playoffs after this victory. They are currently third in the American Football Conference.
Surprised fans soon returned to their seats following the skunk’s removal. Some even joked that they hoped it would bring the team good luck as they hunt for their next victory.
