Scott Glenn’s career isn’t slowing down. In fact, he seems busier than ever before.
Glenn once again steps into the role of the mysterious elder ninja named Stick in Netflix’s Defenders. Glenn debuted in the role in the Daredevil series. In the eyes of many fans, Glenn stole the show. His appearance serves as an inspiration to many. At 76, Glenn showed age does not need to be an impediment to playing a physical role. This leads into another area in which Glenn inspires: physical fitness. Glenn appears to be in tremendous shape.
The Defenders debuts on August 18th. Fans won’t have to wait until season three of Daredevil to see Glenn on the streaming screen.
Again, Glenn definitely is not slowing down. In addition to his duties for Netflix, he has signed on to be part of the cast of Hulu’s Castle Rock. Glenn jumps into the role of Alan Pangborn, the former sheriff of the mystical and mysterious town of Castle Rock. The town was made famous in a host of Stephen King works. The new series should reveal even more mysterious occurrences after it debuts.
Glenn will be reaching a huge audience thanks to both series. Superhero programs and movies are riding a massive wave of popularity. Industry insiders expect the upcoming cinematic version of Stephen King’s It to be a massive hit. Glenn finds himself connect to both heroes and horrors. He’s in a very good position. Amazingly, he is in that position at an age long after many actors would be retired.
Glenn takes care of himself both mentally and physically. He detailed some of his practices in a recent online interview. The interview is a very educational one worth reading.
Will Glenn be adding a third series to his resume? The possibility exists, but it appears he will be quite busy with his Netflix and Hulu duties.
