Television’s most famous dog behaviorist might be making a strong point here. Cesar Millan was approached by the tabloid website TMZ reporters as he exited a popular restaurant in L.A. last evening.
The reporters claimed to Millan that President Donald Trump is the only United States Commander-In-Chief who has yet to adopt a pet for his stay in the White House. So they asked Millan about a dog improving the President’s image and ratings by the American people and the worldwide platform the nation is viewed upon.
Millan smiled because he is the famous “Dog Whisperer,” and he agreed that dogs can make us look like better people in a variety of ways. They are man’s best friend, so a nice, obedient pooch couldn’t hurt, right?
If anyone needs a personality re-arrange, it’s probably Trump. The Washington Post reports that the President’s newest poll numbers have hit an all time low as he tries to get a handle on the growing scandal after recently firing FBI Director James B. Comey.
The numbers compiled from Quinnipiac University show Trump’s disapproval rating soaring to 58 percent — a new high, and just 36 percent approve of Trump’s job performance.
Millan says that folks enjoy watching a dog playing with its owner, especially those with power who have a canine and those who occupy the White House. He believes that Trump’s image would rebound with a dog by his side and not just any dog.
The Golden Retriever is an excellent choice for President Trump, says Millan. This dog is seen as the classic family pet and for sound reasons. The Golden understands loyalty like no other animal on the planet. These canines are also beloved for their intelligence, playfulness, possessing good manners, being amazing with kids, kindly to strangers, obedient and above all, for not mouthing back to Trump.
Seriously though, Millan says that for Trump, “It has to be a Golden Retriever. It has a good image, and this is an image thing.”
Millan also recommended a dog for the White House because it would take attention off of Trump’s budding administration problems as people would be busy admiring the pooch.
More importantly, dogs lower a human being’s stress level. A good dog petting can improve blood pressure.
Obama had Bo and Sunny, Bush 1 had Millie, and Bush 2 had Barney.
Maybe it’s time for Trump to soften his image. Woof!
