Is Obsession Bad?
It is commonly said that obsession is a bad thing. One should always avoid it. Never become too focus on one thing. Try to change it up and do different activities or like different things. Often times, people will avoid individuals that have a certain obsession with something. After doing some self observations of many successful people in the world, I’ve noticed a common trend. All these individuals are obsessed. A lot of times it’s not even obsession with different things, it usually leads down the same route. Obsession with being great. It is common among CEO’s, athletes, actors, and musicians. Look at players such as Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and Michael Jordan. Teammates have often said that they spend their entire days at the gym shooting hoops, with no days off, even in the off season. Always trying to improve.

Believe In Your Self
A lot of people want to accomplish a goal or a dream. They want to live and breathe it. They sometimes even believe the hype. But eventually time catches up, motivation and inspiration dies out, and people psyche themselves out. This is what separates the small percentage of winners in the world with those are just “Average Joe’s”. It is common for individuals to place mental obstacles in the path to greatness. They may be a result of a poor support system of family or friends or maybe even self esteem issues. But believing in yourself and thinking you can accomplish the impossible is the key ingredient to those who have been able to change the world. This is how Caesar conquered Rome, how Neil Armstrong landed on the moon, how Steve Jobs created Apple out of a garage. If you want to start a company, become a rock legend, or even an athlete, it is possible. But become obsessed with it. It must become you.
We All Have The Potential To Change
I see it all the time with bros my age, and it even happens to me from time to time. We judge what we’re capable of doing in our future based on failures of the past. Self doubt is a disgusting chemical in our brain that can block our potential for excellence. Our greatest ability is the fact that we are all capable of changing. No one is born a loser and destined to be one forever. With effort and determination, one can change their course of destiny and shift it towards greatness. It requires a lot of hard work, but for those willing to sacrifice, the reward is worth it. An infamous quote once says “Man cannot remake himself without suffering, for he is both the marble and the sculptor.” On multiple occasions I have taken a good hard look at my life and the path it is headed, and I have decided to re-invent myself. Change expectations. Differ in behavior and attitude. Alter routines and commitments. Each time, I have come out a better person. Every bro is capable of this, and I encourage everyone on this site to strive for greatness. Be competitive, don’t settle for second place. Be the absolute best at everything you do. Prove all the naysayers wrong. We all have that power within us. Go out and start that journey to becoming a better you. And stay obsessed my friends, it will lead to greatness.

You hit the nail on the coffin. Society wants to make you think that obsession is bad and being mediocre is the norm.
This is very true. You have to keep pushing day and night for the things you want. Sometimes people don’t understand this but when your obsessed, it means you never stop even if the task is done. Steve Jobs was obsessed with Apple to be great and when it got there he kept pushing. Never stop believe in yourself.
I agree obsession is not always bad. You must be obsessed with your goals and get it done.

Society is built to control ur mind , ur thoughts and ur actions… Government – to govern the mind , u need to break free and enlighten ur self , believe in your self. You can do anything u want to do as long as u work hard for it
