Targaryen History

We are still a year away from the highly anticipated season 7 of Game of Thrones, but if you are like me, you can’t get enough theories. George RR Martin has done a masterful job at keeping us in our toes, as the show reaches its final season. However this is a theory that will wrap up the critically acclaimed series in a way that will leave fans in awe. As everyone knows, Aegon Targaryen conquered the seven kingdoms with his three dragons. The logo and sigil of the house is a three-headed dragon. The other two dragons were ridden into combat by his two sisters.

Second Dragon Rider

Fast forward about three centuries, and here we go again. Daenerys Targaryen is riding across the narrow sea to Westeros with three dragons. As we know, there must be three riders, but the show hasn’t indicated who they are. How about a theory that can break the very foundation of the show and change everything. It’s a known fact that the Mad King had named Tywin Lannister the hand of the king for 20 years. He was in love with Tywin’s wife and regretted he was not part of the “first night”. We know that the Mad King visits Lannisport in 272 AC, and Tyrion Lannister is born in 273 AC and Joana Lannister dies in childbirth. Throughout the series it becomes apparent there is no love lost because Tywin and his son Tyrion. He goes as far as to say that the Imp is “No son of his” prior to being executed. I believe him to be the second dragon rider and a true Targaryen. (Perhaps this is why the dragons didn’t attack him in the dungeon.)

Final Dragon Rider

Now for the third and final rider, the show is implying that Lyana Stark gave birth to Jon Snow and Rhegar Targaryen is the father. Considering that Lyana also dies in childbirth the same way Joana did, maybe its not too much of a reach to assume that while she was locked up in the tower of joy, the Mad King had raped Lyana, while Rhegar was out fighting. This would make Jon a Targaryen as well, but the son of the Mad King, and third rider of the dragons. Three siblings once again conquering the seven kingdoms.

Tell us what you think, possible theory for season seven or just nonsense?

I like the theory but I don’t see a reason she would need two other riders. She’s been able to take over lands on her own. And conquering lands together is not a good enough.

The 3 dragon rider theory just brings the whole story to full circle. Aegon the Conquer started it all with his two sister riders, now Daynerys Targarian will close it with a new breed of riders
