Report shows how much Kylie Jenner, LeBron James, The Rock & other celebs make per hour

Actor George Clooney leads all celebrities when it comes to a breakdown of earnings per hour. The star of hit movies like “Oceans Eleven,” “Oceans Twelve,” and “Gravity,” brings in a mere $27,283 per hour. Other well-known celebrities earn slightly less than he does per hour. To some people, that’s a year’s salary, depending on the job. However, Clooney’s earnings pale in comparison to some of the top CEOs in the United States.

A Business Insider report on Sunday (Aug. 26) gives an indication of how much the top-earning celebrities and billionaires are making by the minute. Clooney is the top-earning celeb with his amount but it isn’t just due to his movie roles. Last June, Clooney and his partners brokered a billion-dollar deal to sell the Casamigos tequila brand to Diageo. That certainly gave the Hollywood star’s bank account a boost.

Coming in at second on the list is young earner Kylie Jenner who makes just over $19,000 an hour. Jenner started as just a famous half-sister of Kim Kardashian as well as a reality star but turned that into so much more thanks to her impressive social media presence. She now has become an entrepreneur with her own line of Kylie Cosmetics that sell out products regularly. Kylie ranked at No. 27 on the Forbes list of richest self-made women this past year.

Checking in at third on the list is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson with $14,155 per hour as the only other celebrity making at least $10k an hour. The Rock has parlayed his career with the WWE into a major entertainment machine as he nows stars in blockbuster movies and his own series on HBO, “Ballers.”

Rounding out the top five are daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres with $9,988 per hour and NBA superstar LeBron James with $9,760 per hour. James just recently signed a multi-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers for the next leg of his career. He can also start to benefit from new ventures thanks to playing in the booming L.A. area and associating with mogul Magic Johnson.

Things become more daunting for the everyday earner when looking at how much billionaires make. For example, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos leads all celebs and billionaires with nearly $4.5 million earned an hour. Just below him is Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg at just over $1.7 million and Alice Walton at nearly $1.4 million. Some American’s won’t see bank accounts near those numbers in their lifetimes, but it’s nice to dream, right?
