What Is A Designated Survivor?
As a country the United States of America has always planned for the unthinkable. With so many enemies around the world trying to attack our country and take away our freedom it’s hard not to. A designated survivor is a natural born american citizen who is in the presidential line of succession. This individual is usually a member of the United States Cabinet. During events where the President and other top leaders gather at a single location this designated survivor is taken to a distant, safe and undisclosed location. This is done in case of a catastrophic attack where the President and all others top leaders are killed. The designated survivor will automatically become President and guarantee the government continues it’s critical operations.

Get Past The Slow Start
The show had a slow start on the first episode. This could have been due to the fact that Designated Survivor skipped the pilot stage and went straight to series. When you get past the first episode you will see how fast the show picks up. Being a new President by force as a result of a catastrophic attack can be a stressful situation. Not only do you not have any time to prepare or process the shock of the attack but you also have a whole country looking for answers. As the President of the United States it is your duty to make sure the people are safe, control the chaos, find the culprits and bring them to justice. These are just a few of the challenges that drive the start of the show. After watching the first three episodes I can honestly say that this is a great show and I recommend everyone to give it a shot.

First of all the official trailer gave me the goosebumps. Second I never thought this existed. I always thought if they dropped nukes in the US the oldest and most skilled of the Castro’s would run our country.
