Captive Orca Whales At SeaWorld

Blackfish is a powerful American documentary that was released in 2013. The documentary mainly revolves around Tilikum an Orca whale held captive at Seaworld and the deaths of three individuals. It is upsetting and shocking to watch this Orca viciously attack these individuals. But there are two sides of every coin.  The performing Orcas in captivity are under extreme stress, harassed by other Orcas and just simply unhappy.  They are kept in confined spaces with no light for most of the day. Most argue that the long-term psychological effects of these conditions are what makes the Orca whales retaliate. Major Attack On SeaWorld

The documentary has been a major attack on SeaWorld who current has 23 Orcas in captivity inside the three U.S parks. At least 45 Orcas have died at SeaWorld, not including miscarriages. The physical damages on these Orcas such as the collapsed dorsal fin are explained in great detail to support the argument. This eye-opening emotional documentary will take you from the brutal time of capture to the day to day of these Orcas. It will make you think twice about these animals performing for paying customers.
