Season 8
American Ninja Warrior just ended with a big disappointment for many fans. To the surprise of many nobody won the $1,00,000 dollar prize. Not only did nobody win but nobody even made it to Stage 4 of Mt. Midoriyama. Stage 4 of Mt. Midoriyama consist of a 75-foot rope climb in 30 seconds or less. This year all of the athletes including Jessie Graff were eliminated in Stage 2 with the exception of Drew Dreshel and Daniel Gil. These two athletes are amazing at what they do and everyone had high hopes this year. Unfortunately neither were able to defeat the difficult Stage 3 course. Drew Dreshel fell on the hand climb when he attempted to hold on to a piece that is meant to be for your foot. Daniel Gil fell on the ultimate cliff hanger while transitioning.
Only Two In History
There has only been two men in 8 seasons that have been crowned “American Ninja Warrior”. They both competed in Season 7. The two athletes are Geoff Britten and Isaac Caldiero. Only one of them won the $1,000,000 dollar prize. Even though they both beat Mt. Midoriyama Stage 4, Isaac Caldiero had the faster time taking home the money. They proved to the the world that it is possible to beat all four stages and win the money. Here are their amazing runs:
Geoff Britten
Isaac Caldiero
Can’t Help But Notice
One can clearly see that even though Geoff was trying to be happy for Isaac a piece of him was dying inside. Coming so close to winning one million bucks and then losing is no joke. Even more when you are talking about 3 seconds slower. The same applies for the only two competitors in Season 8 who advanced and fell before Stage 4. These athletes train night and day all year round just to get a shot at this once a year. All it takes is one mistake in any of the obstacles within the many courses. I am hoping that next season we have more competitors advance to Stage 3 and 4 and get a shot at being crowned.

Incredible. Just 3 seconds and boom he wins the million of dollars. My goodness! Too bad for Geoff! I’ve seen him compete he a great competitor but man to lose like that. It must have hurt real bad. I am sure he was hoping he would lose in the inside and acting like he was happy for Isaac on the outside.
There is always next time Geoff.
Yeah Geoff was clapping so hard not to cry. I have seen Geoff compete in Season 8 and he hates to lose. This season he fell early on.
I would wanna participate in these events….but im not too athletic….shame.
These two athletes are amazing but going second gives you the competitive advantage. You get to see how the first guy did it.
That just sucks…..last minute loss and -1 mil
Lol that guy looks upset as hell. I would be too if I lost a million bucks. Thats a life changing event.
