We have a tentative time frame for release of the DC Comics streaming service DC Universe, as well as new information that it will include comics as well as TV and film adaptations of the company’s work.

According to a recent interview that the James Bonding Podcast did with Dani Snow, community manager of DC Entertainment, the new platform is aiming to be done by late August.

She added that it will be a “hub for all things DC,” and will include comic books that can be viewed online.

DC Comics’ chief rival, Marvel Comics, has had a service called Marvel Unlimited since 2007. This allows subscribers to pay either a monthly or yearly fee and then read as many comics as the platform has in its library. DC Comics fans have long hoped for something similar, and it looks like this may be it, though Snow did not specify if DC Universe’s comic option will work on a similar method.

Until now, the main draw advertised for DC Universe was its movies and TV series. The company has been slowly taking its properties away from other streaming services like Netflix, so it looks like fans will soon have to turn to this new platform to watch anything related to Batman, Superman or the other heroes associated with the company.

DC Universe will also include new material. Titans, a live-action series currently in production. It will star Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson/Robin, Anna Diop as Koriand’r/Starfire, Teagan Croft as Raven and Ryan Potter as Garfield Logan/Beast Boy. Other characters will include the heroic team of Hawk (Alan Ritchson) and Dove (Minka Kelly), Niles “the Chief” Caulder of the Doom Patrol (Bruno Bichir) and reportedly Curran Walters as Jason Todd.

Another big draw is a third season of the fan favorite cartoon Young Justice, now subtitled Young Justice: Outsiders. Its old cast is returning for a new 26-episode season where they will deal with the fallout from their previous adventures, including the rise in superhuman trafficking and presumably that alliance that we saw Vandal Savage make at the end of season two.

These two shows are expected to premiere as soon as the service becomes available; other projects coming later include Swamp Thing (headed by Aquaman‘s James Wan), Harley Quinn and Doom Patrol.
