Researchers found that people who skipped breakfast were more likely to develop atherosclerosis. This is a condition that causes the arteries to harden. They also found that breakfast skippers had a higher fasting glucose level and higher blood pressure.

Jose L. Penalvo was one of the authors involved in the study. He is also an assistant professor at Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University. They can recommend that their patients eat breakfast.

It is important to note that the type of breakfast you eat is also important. You do not want to eat donuts, honeybuns or French toast for breakfast.
