Jason Bourne Is Back!

New Movie Details

For those who are a fan of the Bourne series, he is back and this time starring Matt Damon. The new film is just titled “Jason Bourne” and will be released in the US tomorrow July 29th. In new movie it has been several years since Jason Bourne has disappeared. He is still trying to find all the answers related to his past and his family. There is also a new operation trying to hunt him down. Here’s the official trailer.

Refresher

It has been a long 9 years since we have seen Matt Damon’s “The Bourne Ultimatum”. Let me give you Bros a refresher. In the previous movie we learned about Operation Treadstone which marks the beginning of Bourne’s past. He is the last survivor of this operation. Operation Treadstone is the name given to the black ops program created by the CIA in the series.  The program only recruits service members and turns them into highly trained lethal assassins. It all starts with behavior modification to break them down. After the break down they receive advanced training to become a superhuman living weapon.

The advanced training includes all types of weapons, explosives, vehicles, hand to hand, sniping, engineering and turning almost anything into a weapon. It also includes physical endurance, observational skills, lightning reflexes, escape-evasion and mental. On the downside it has horrible side-effects due to experimental physical and mental enhancements. The side-effects are amnesia, chronic headaches, fatigue and sensitivity to lights.

Jason Bourne is trying to expose classified information about Operation Treadstone and Blackbriar. He wants to shut it down. His real name is also discovered which is David Webb. The birthday given was an actual code for an address 4-15-71 (415 East 71st Street) which is a training facility. This is where the classified files are faxed out to be exposed. At the end of The Bourne Ultimatum we see a broadcast about the exposure of the operations. It follows with arrests and a criminal investigation of the CIA. Jason who was shot at the end of the movie and fell into the East river is shown swimming away underwater after his fall. So far the new movie has been rated 8.4 out of 10 in IMDb and 60% in Rotten Tomatoes. If you are a fan of the Jason Bourne series like myself you can’t miss this movie.
