Closer Than We Think
We have all wished at one point or another we had an Iron Man suit that can give us superhuman strength, flight, durability, and weapons. What looks to be straight out of Marvel’s Iron Man, the US Department of Defense announce it’s two years away from launching TALOS.  TALOS is short for Tactical Light Operator Suit and is designed to increase mobility, strength and above all safety. Right now the suit is being developed mainly for Special Forces and Navy operators. This whole project started in 2013 when the U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) joined forces with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Their main goal is to develop a super-soldier style suit for the military. Take a look at the suit in action.
How Does The TALOS Work?
TALOS is a robotic exoskeleton that uses liquid body armor. It is comfortable, lightweight and flexible. The liquid body armor can solidify on command almost instantly by using a magnetic or electrical current. It is intended to provide ballistic protection. The suit will be powered by a LiquidPiston’s X Engine that runs at around 10,000 RPM. The quiet engine will feed power to batteries which in return will power various components of the combat suit. Other features include powerful power-assisted limbs, low-light thermal imaging sensors, better communication and computer systems that monitor overall health. The TALOS is one of the most technologically advanced military equipment ever created.

I always felt that army uniforms are way outdated. We need some technology added to them. This is pretty interesting.

This is pretty cool but I don’t see it as the real life Iron Man. Until I see a red suit that can fly then we can say Iron Man.

I wouldn’t mind marching into combat with a squad of soldiers wearing these suits. This shit must make you feel like a god on the battlefield.
