Sea-To-Sky Highway

The Sea-to-Sky Highway is one of the most beautiful drives in the world. It starts in Vancouver and goes to Whistler. There are waterfalls and scenic vistas along the way. You can stop at a cultural center along the way that has a stunning suspension bridge to cross over.

Grouse Mountain

Grouse Mountain is just north of Vancouver. It used to be just open for skiers in the winter, but now offers things to see and do throughout the year. You can take a gondola to the top or do the Grouse Grind, which is a 2789-foot climb up its side. There are hiking trails and many activities on Grouse Mountain. It’s also a mountain refuge where endangered wildlife lives.

Stanley Park

Vancouver’s Stanley Park has been named the best park in the world by multiple publications. It has a trail around it that is popular with walkers and bikers. There are Aboriginal village sites inside it and fantastic beaches. You can ride the Stanley Park Train and visit Vancouver Aquarium.

Chinatown

Chinatown in Vancouver is the oldest and largest one in Canada. It has many unique shops and inexpensive markets to explore. It also has the best Chinese restaurants in Vancouver. The Dim Sum restaurants are especially good. If you enjoy people watching, Sundays are the best day to visit.

VanDusen Botanical Garden

This garden is on 55-acres in the center of Vancouver. It has more than 8,000 plants species from around the world. There’s a hedge maze to explore and many types of wildlife. There are also great restaurants in VanDusen Botanical Garden, such as Shaughnessy Restaurant. You can also explore a gift shop that has many plants and garden products for sale.

Museum Of Anthropology

The Museum of Anthropology has art made by Northwest Coast First Nations and other indigenous cultures around the world. There are over 10,000 pieces of artwork on display. You can join a free guided walk through the gallery, which is very informative.
