A company called Kadho built Kidsense voice technology. Kaveh Azartash, the CEO and Dhonam Pemba, who is the chief scientist are the founders of Kadho. Both Kaveh and Dhonam had PhD’s in artificial intelligence technology and Neuroscience respectively. Today its third co-founder is Jock Thompson. The firm, when it was built, initially focused on making conversational-based language apps for kids to learn. Now Kadho built Kidsense Edge voice technology concentrate on the automatic speech recognition technology to help kids communicate using voice-powered devices. Kidsense voice artificial intelligence will be launched at Tech Crunch Disrupt SF as a new technology this year.
Nowadays, automatic speech recognition technology has been built for adults and trained as adults and trained for adult voices only. An individual using Google Home or an echo smart speaker can give credit to this technological development. As a result, Kidsense was built specifically for kids and using kid’s voices. Kadho claims that its technology was developed using raw speech data from 150,000 children’s voices from different age-groups and speaking a different language. This technology was designed to communicate and understand kids. Kidsense is also targeting voice-enabled devices and voice-enabled toys market niche. It is already being used by paying customers. This has made Kaveh and his team believe in outperforming big players in the tech market such as Google and Amazon.
Kadho’s initial product was a solution based on servers called Kidsense cloud A.I that was completed late 2017. This tech solution was polished to ensure that it has more privacy laws where any data processing is done on the device, not the cloud. This means that all the decoding and processing is done on one machine. The good thing is that they have already known out how to put all this in a gadget in an efficient way using the least possible processing power. This tech has already been tested in several states and already pleases many parents who can now feel safe using it on their children. Kidsense is still developing. Its latest development that has been showed-off is the dual language speech recognition. This technology is latest as it can process two different languages in a single sentence when spoken by children. Currently, this company has attained approximately $1.2 million worth of annual contracts and is still working to reach more customers. This company has also been able to raise at least $2.5 million from its original investors like Beam Capital, Sky wood Capital, SFK Investment and others.
