Seahawks Come Back to Defeat Packers

It has been a very tough season for both the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers. Both teams started the 2018 season with aspirations of making the playoffs and possibly getting to the Super Bowl. However, things have not exactly gone according to plan. Both teams have not performed well and lost some games they should have won. They faced each other on Thursday night at CenturyLink Field in Seattle desperately needing a win to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. The Seahawks got off to a rough start by committing a critical fumble on their first drive of the game. The Packers were able to turn that fumble into a touchdown.

Aaron Rodgers also made a huge throw for a 53-yard touchdown pass later in the first half. According to kxly.com, at one point, the Packers led the game by a score of 14-3. However, things were about to change in the second half. Rodgers was not nearly as impressive in the final 30 minutes of the game. He was not as accurate and the Packers had big problems moving the ball in critical situations. The Packers entered the fourth quarter with a 24-20 lead. However, Russell Wilson was able to guide his offense down the field and score a touchdown that gave the Seahawks a 27-24 lead. Aaron Rodgers tried to bring the Packers back like he has so many times before in his brilliant career. However, the drive stalled and the Packers punted hoping to get the ball back. That did not happen.

The Seahawks got the first down they needed to salt the game away and they were able to keep the ball out of Rodgers hands. Seattle won the game 27-24. It was yet another very bitter loss for Green Bay in the Pacific Northwest. Seattle has not been very kind to the Packers over the years. The Packers are now 4-5-1 and in danger of not making the playoffs. They basically need to win the rest of their games and get to 10 wins to have a chance.

The Seahawks are also fighting for their playoff lives. They are now 5-5 on the season. They have no hope of winning the division because of the amazing season that the Los Angeles Rams are having. Their only hope is to make the playoffs as a wild card. That will not be a very easy thing to do with all the teams ahead of them.
