Seahawks Beat Eagles in Philly

The 2019 season was filled with injuries for the Philadelphia Eagles. However, they were able to win nine games and win their division. This gave them a spot in the playoffs. As division champs, they were also able to host a game against the Seattle Seahawks, a team that had a better record than the Eagles did. Injuries played a very big role in the 17-9 defeat that the Eagles suffered at the hands of the Seahawks. Philly QB Carson Wentz suffered a concussion in the first quarter of the game that prevented him from coming back and playing again. The Eagles were forced to play their backup QB who is 40 years old. It is amazing the Eagles were able to keep the game close.

The Seahawks got another win on the road. This is something that they did seven times in the regular season. It will not get any easier for Seattle. They must travel to Green Bay to play the Packers next Sunday. It will be very interesting to see how this young Seahawks team is able to play in a game of this magnitude. It remains to be seen if they can beat a team as talented as Green Bay on the road in a playoff game.

The Eagles were not expected to win. Most people thought that they would lose even if Wentz was healthy. The team was just too banged up to pose a serious threat to Seattle or any other team. It is a miracle they played as well as they did for the past month to beat the Cowboys for the NFC East division title. This is why nobody thought the Eagles were going to make a deep playoff run this year. The concussion that Carson Wentz suffered made Seattle’s win even easier.

The Seahawks have a very talented team. They have a legit chance to win another Super Bowl this year. The Packers know that this might be their last chance at glory. Therefore, Green Bay might be more desperate in this game because they know their window might be closing. Aaron Rodgers is not the player that he used to be. That having been said, Rodgers is still very accurate and dangerous in pressure situations. He has shown that several times this season. Seattle and Green Bay are very evenly matched teams. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top.
