Emotions Running High
We are just a little over a month away from UFC 207 and emotions seems to be already running high. The UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship is taking place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 30, 2016. After a deadly stare down, Ronda stormed off the stage shrugging off UFC president Dana White. Amanda Nunes stayed back to be interviewed by Joe Rogan. So what happened? According to Dana White there was never a plan for the two fighters to stay back and interview with Joe Rogan. Dana stated “They’re not supposed to do an interview. They were supposed to go up there, square off, and they’re both supposed to walk away”. He then blamed this mistake on a production issue. But according to sports reporter Dave Meltzer, Ronda had to be consoled after walking off the stage. This is not hard to believe knowing that Ronda contemplated suicide after the Holly Holms loss. Let’s hope that Ronda’s emotions don’t get in the way of her fighting skills.
