One of the biggest rivalries in the NFL has always been between the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers. The two teams played each other for the second time this season. Their previous game at Lambeau Field ended in a tie. Sunday’s game was at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The Vikings came out on top and won by a score of 24-17. This was a huge win for the Vikings and a crippling loss for Green Bay. The win makes the Vikings 6-4-1. They are very much alive in the NFC playoff picture. On the other hand, the Packers now find themselves 4-6-1. The odds of Green Bay making the playoffs are not very good.

One of the biggest concerns this season for fans of the Green Bay Packers has been the poor performance of superstar QB Aaron Rodgers. He has not been nearly as sharp as he has been previously in his brilliant Hall of Fame career. He has missed open receivers and has held onto the ball too long. This has led to Rodgers being sacked more frequently than he has in previous seasons. There are many reasons why the Packers have had such a bad season. All of the blame should not be laid on the shoulders of Rodgers. However, the QB of the team will always get the most attention.

The Vikings have been a pleasant surprise this season in the NFL. Kirk Cousins is in his first year as the QB of the Vikings after coming over from the Washington Redskins. He has played very well so far. Cousins has done a good job at getting acclimated to a new offensive system. The Vikings still have a chance to win their division. However, they will need to overcome the Chicago Bears. It remains to be seen if they will be able to do this.

The Green Bay Packers will have some big decisions to make if they do not make the playoffs. Head coach Mike McCarthy has been at the helm of the Packers for many years. There have been rumors in the media that Green Bay might be considering a change at the head coach position if the Packers are not able to right the ship and make the playoffs. That will be a difficult thing to do. There are currently five teams ahead of the Packers in the race for the two NFC wild card spots.
