How Men Discuss Sports

When it comes to sports, men are just more interested in watching and talking about. Probably because of their profession’s high demands, they have a lot of free time to watch game footage, discuss their favorite teams, and discuss strategies.

1. Player’s skills/performance

Men are always interested in knowing how their favorite players are doing. They would make comparisons of the same player under different coaches, different players, and different teams.

2. Game tactics/plays

Men are fond of discussing the strategies and tactics used within a particular game. They would compare these with those from other games and discuss how well they executed the plans.

3. Team strengths/weaknesses

Men love to discuss what makes their favorite teams solid or weak. They would share information they know and predict how the team will be.

4. Other teams

Men love to assess the strengths and weaknesses of other teams and compare them with their own. The reasons for comparing are not only because of their sports fanaticism but also because of their pride in their favorite team. If a fan sees his favorite team as less favored than another, he will talk about what needs to be done to overcome it.

5. Injuries/Medical care/rehabilitation

Men would talk about how the players were doing after their injuries and how they recovered. They would also compare and contrast what different teams do with injured players.

6. Coaching styles

Men talk about the coaching styles of the players they admire and discuss which one they like or want to try after they leave their current teams.

7. Player trades/salaries

Men would also discuss who they would want to be traded or hired by and why or how much they would charge in exchange for their services. They will also talk about how much money their favorite players are getting paid.

Men love sports. Sports is a bonding activity for them to share their skills, knowledge, and opinions. It does not matter if you are a sports addict; men love talking about sports for several reasons. In the end, it does not matter why men talk about it; what matters is that one should never refuse to join in the discussion if he knows the basics
