Red’s manager Jurgen Klopp has braced himself up to defend his club’s transfer business that is going on this summer. This is after he had made the announcement that he was going to do things in a different manner from other giant teams. Jürgen’s side is reported to have sealed a deal of a World Record fee for a goalkeeper. He managed to Sign Alisson from AS Roma. The transfer did cost Liverpool a hefty amount totaling 67 million euros. Back in January, Liverpool made another transfer for Virgil Van Dijk. The player became the most expensive defender in the world after he arrived at Anfield at a price of 75 million euros. However, two years back, while English side Manchester United was making a bid for Paul Pogba at a record fee of 89 million euros, Klopp suggested that he was going to quit coaching the club. He was not accepting the large fees that were being splashed to purchase players.
In an interview by Goal.com, Klopp said that in these times nobody forgets the unkind words that are spewed out on a daily basis. On the other side, it was true that he said that two years ago. He stated that the world had drastically changed just like that in two years. He continued to say that a hundred million euros were a crazy amount for the player. Since his remarks, the world and the player market has immensely transformed. He added that times couldn’t be taken back as they have already made signings, including that of the most expensive goalkeeper in the world and other staff.
Klopp said that the Red’s was not paying hid about what the world around them was saying. This was the same the way that Manchester United didn’t care about what he had earlier said. It was just a mere comment that had to be delivered at that moment. As time progressed, he had changed his opinion on the crazy market transfer. Furthermore, it was never hurting to have an opinion. It’s better to alter an opinion instead of having none. Klopp also noted that whatever people say they keep on bringing it again and again. However, this never mattered to him anymore. There were days that things were not going right for him and other worse things did happen. He summarized saying that Liverpool has already signed the players that he wanted and that they are good to go.
