Mexico danced and sang to their famous folk songs after they beat the reigning World Cup champions, Germany. The Germans were defeated on the first game of their title defense. Thousands of Mexican and German fans traveled and crossed the Atlantic as they descended to Moscow for a set match against the two prolific football teams. The match was the second toughest match after the one between Spain and Portugal that resulted to a 3-3 draw. Mexico is a dominant football team back in their yard. Even when it comes to the big stage, they are never bullied by the bigger teams. They always put a match and show their prowess.
In the 2014 World Cup tournament in Brazil, Mexico team was sadly eliminated by the Netherlands which, never made it to the World cup this round. In the year 2010 and 2006, the team was booked early tickets to head home by the Argentinian side. However, in 2018, the team again qualified for the tournament easily but under a coach who is still unpopular for a variety of reasons. The Mexican team has had very few winnings and has fallen for major defeats with other small teams during their friendlies. This is something that was seen as unacceptable by the entire Mexican football fraternity. They thought that the Colombian man was not Mexican enough to be a thoughtful and delightful coach.
The Mexican coach is known for his analytical approach on important matches. However, despite the criticism that he received, the man proved that he is capable after he thrashed the European football giant 1-0. So far, Mexico is one of the most successful teams in the tournament. They were able to gunner three points from the match. The Mexican team came prepared not wanting to be among the early teams that will book a ticket for a flight back to their native nations. The team knew that they had to beat Germany under all circumstances. They showed their desire to clinch the three points immediately the whistle was blown for the kick-off.
Throughout the game, they kept on launching attacks on the wavering German defense. The attack led by Javier Hernandez kept the German defense up and running. However, the last world cup Golden Glove winner Manuel Neuer was unable to withstand the pressure that Mexico was building during the first half. Just before the whistle was blown for the end of the first-half, Manuel conceded a goal that left the Germans in debt.
