Without a doubt Conor McGregor is one of the greatest and most entertaining UFC fighters to watch. Not only does he talk the talk but he walks the walk. His extravagant lifestyle and constant trash talking has made him an internet and pay-per view sensation. He is doing numbers that nobody else is in the UFC. His 13 second knock-out against Jose Aldo earned him the featherweight championship back in 2015. On November 12th, 2016 he made history by defeating Eddie Alvarez in a humiliating fight. McGregor dominated the fight from the start, finishing Alvarez off with a 2nd round knockout. Conor McGregor has become the first UFC fighter to ever hold titles in two divisions simultaneously.
Big Announcement And Demand
Following the ruthless victory against Eddie Alvarez on UFC 205, Connor McGregor made a big announcement. He is expecting to have a baby early next year with his girlfriend Dee Devlin. It doesn’t stop there. He is also demanding to be given UFC company ownership. He wants a piece of the $3.5 billion dollar pie in shares. Conor is arguing the fact that his rise to fame has made the company a pretty penny. He has broken pay-per view records taking the company to the next level while earning them $400 million during the last 8 months. During the post-fight press conference he explained that to truly bring him on board he needs to have ownership of the company. For the time being Conor McGregor will take time off to spend with his pregnant girlfriend and baby.
Life Changing Event
The fact that Conor McGregor is having a baby seems to have him a little nervous. During the post-fight press conference he stated that “I’m going to be a daddy early net year. I’m crapping my jocks, I don’t even know what way to take it”. The news has definitely made him reevaluate his future and that of the future “celebrity baby”. He does not want to be a celebrity family, he said ” I hate all of that.” He further stated that he is “just going to have this baby, take a little time and see what way I feel after that”. Could this life changing event mark the end of his career? Is his decision to come back or not dependent on the UFC company shares he demanded? Nobody knows at this point.
