Mike Pence got another chance to tell a graduating class how great Donald Trump really is when they overlook all his mobster qualities. Pence likes to talk about Trump’s achievements. Most of the president’s accomplishments go against Pence’s religious beliefs, but being president someday is worth throwing Christianity to the curb. That what Mayor Pete Buttigieg told Pence when he first got into the race for the Democratic nomination.
Mr. Pence also told the West Point graduates to get ready to fight for the Trumpster. Pence told the audience they will all be in a war if Trump doesn’t get what he wants from Iran. Pence doesn’t like Iran even though he praises Iran policy to prosecute the gay community.
Mike tried to stir up more trouble in Venezuela, but he botched that attempt. Pence also tried to sell Trump’s snake oil to the Europeans a couple of months ago, but he got the cold shoulder. Taylor University was another Pence commencement speech stop, but the graduates and the faculty didn’t think much of Pence’s ability to lie with a straight poker face.
Mr. Trump is in Japan giving out awards to Sumo wrestlers and playing golf with Prime Minister Abe. Abe is a Trump fan. Trump didn’t get the trade deal he wanted with Japan. But he plans to sell Abe 105 F35 stealth fighters. Trump wants Abe to make him look like a trade winner after Trump’s trade loss with China.
But Prime Minister Abe did get a little annoyed with Trump when he said his buddy Kim Jon Un was just acting out when he started firing missiles again. Trump told the press Kim was his homey. He said dictators like them always stick together. Trump promised Kim he would make him an international celebrity on his political reality show.
Mayor Pete Buttigieg thinks Trump is a phony. He told the Exeter Town Hall audience Trump’s deferment from the Vietnam War was a setup. Trump’s father gave a podiatrist an offer he couldn’t refuse back when Trump was available to serve the country. The podiatrist said Trump had bone spurs that never existed, according to the daughter of the podiatrist.
Chris Wallace asked Lindsey Graham why he told the press presidents can’t defy Congress without facing impeachment. Lindsey said that back when Bill Clinton was on the impeachment hot seat. Graham now claims Trump is cool even though the president seems to want Congress to impeach him. Mr. Graham gave Wallace one of his southern epitaphs that had double meanings and irrational thoughts as its foundation.
