There is a lot of anticipation for the new “Black Widow” movie from Marvel Studios that opens in May. The film will star Scarlett Johansson as she plays the same character that she has portrayed in all of the Avengers movies. The trailers for the film have been getting very good reviews online. It will be one of only two films that Marvel Studios will be releasing in 2020. “The Eternals” will be released in November. Early projections indicate that “Black Widow” is going to have a great opening weekend with a $115 million gross in the United States for the first three days.
There had been rumors for a long time about a “Black Widow” solo movie. However, Marvel Studios kept all of the details about the movie under tight wraps.
The main villain in the film will be the Taskmaster. He is not nearly as well known as many of the other legendary villains in the Marvel Universe. This is the first time that Taskmaster has appeared in a Marvel Studios live-action film. This will be the first film released by the studio since the enormous success of “Avengers: Endgame” when it became the highest grossing movie in history. Obviously, the expectations are not that high for the “Black Widow” film.
It will be very interesting to see what the final tally for “Black Widow” ends up being. The budget on the film is very high. The studio also spent a lot of money on marketing the film, reveals movieweb.com. Therefore, the film will need to make a lot of money to make a profit. Marvel Studios always seems to hit a home run no matter what film they are putting out. We will have to wait and see if “Black Widow” will be added to their long list of blockbusters.
Marvel Studios has a large slate of films scheduled for release next year. The new Thor and Doctor Strange movies will be coming out. There will also be a Shang-Chi film that is scheduled to be released early in 2021. The studio has become one of the biggest movie production powerhouses in the show business industry. The fact that the studio is owned by Disney ensures that they will always have a lot of money to make exactly the type of film they want. Basically, price is no object for a Marvel Studios film as long as they have the backing of Disney.
