Having a physique that demands attention is something that most guys are seeking. On the other hand, you’ll need to put in some work to reap the benefits. In most cases, the average weightlifter or fitness enthusiast don’t have a clue of how to properly train. The majority of fitness enthusiasts only tend to train the muscles that they can see. This type of ignorant ideology spans from the average beginner to well-seasoned vets.

You have to get your body growing as a unit to produce the biggest results. Of course, this is where compound movements enter the frame. Exercises like squats, deadlifts, barbell bench press, bent-over rows, and barbell shoulder press’ are ideal for packing on raw muscle. Compound movements tend to hit numerous muscles simultaneously. The barbell bench press directly targets the chest, but it indirectly hits the shoulders and triceps. The squat, which is the king of all exercises, will directly target the legs while indirectly hitting the lower back and abs.

Things To Consider

Most guys tend to build muscle fairly easy for their chest and arms. It seems like chest day is every Monday at your local gym as everyone is vying for the bench and pec deck machine. If you focus too much on upper body, then your lower body will suffer. Having a top-heavy physique isn’t as impressive as having a well-balanced physique. You must train your legs, or you’ll end up looking like the fictional character Johhny Bravo. If you’re really lacking in the leg department, then training legs twice a week is recommended. A good training regimen, includes

  • Four sets of squats
  • Four sets of leg extension
  • Four sets of deadlifts

The goal is to build a body that’s proportional. If you’re lower body overpowers your upper body, then spending more time training your chest, shoulders, and arms is the great solution. A good training split will include leg day, chest/back day, and arms/shoulders day. Abs can be worked on any day because of their small size.

Products like whey protein and creatine will provide all of the necessary nutrients for building muscle. Tribulus terrestris can increase your body’s testosterone level, which is great for building muscle while enhance your libido.
