Alien Super Structure Within Our Own Galaxy?

Not Alone In The Universe?

After years of research, astronomers cannot pinpoint what is wrong with Tabby’s Star. Also known as KIC 8462852, it has displayed erratic behavior that cannot be explained. There is odd flickering and dimming occurring with the star, which has experts scratching their heads. The Kepler telescope goes as far as to show that the star’s luminosity sometimes dips as low as 20%. During a specific time of an individual study, the actual flux of this star decreased 4%.

A Scene From Star Wars?

Using our current knowledge of the stars, we cannot explain the phenomena that is going on within our own galaxy. This has led to many wild theories However, there is one theory that is catching traction with many leading astronomers. There is potentially an alien super structure built or being built nearby this star that is directly harvesting power from it. Yes, I know, this sounds like a scene from Episode 7 where Star Killer is capable of stealing power from stars. Before you go ahead and close your browser, consider this for a moment...if something cannot occur naturally, and we aren’t there to alter it, then what is causing it? 

Other Possibilities

The star was first observed in the 19th century. There has been a pretty decent amount of data conducted on it. Bradley Schaefer of Louisiana State University came to a conclusion after posting his research. The star has lost 19% potency in the last 100 years. Dismissed immediately, his conclusion is now getting revisited as very possible. Other popular theories is that smashed debris from other planets keep causing confusion about the dimming. Some have even purposed that gravity darkening is something that can occur, although it cannot be explained entirely in this scenario. Let us know in the comments what you think could be causing this.
