Packers Narrowly Defeat Seahawks in NFL Playoffs

The Packers had a very big advantage going into this game. They had secured one of the top seeds in the NFC. This allowed the Packers to have a week off so they could rest and prepare for their first playoff game. On the other hand, the Seahawks had to play last weekend. They were forced to go on the road where they defeated a severely depleted Philadelphia Eagles squad. Having a bye in the first round of the playoffs allows a team to recover from key injuries. It is a massive advantage that has helped many teams to win the Super Bowl.

The Packers have a very big task in front of them. There are few people who believe that they will be able to go on the road and beat the 49ers. In fact, the oddsmakers in Las Vegas have already installed the 49ers as seven point favorites. That is a massive point spread that is usually not seen when two quality teams are playing each other. It is very surprising when you consider that the Packers won 13 games this season. That is only one less win than the 49ers.

For the Seahawks, it will be back to the drawing board. The team was decimated with injuries in 2019. There is no telling how far this team could have gone if they had a healthy roster for the majority of the season. However, the season has to be considered a success. Seattle did not go to the playoffs last year. Therefore, bouncing back this year and winning a playoff game before narrowly losing to Green Bay is a good season. However, the Seahawks had aspirations of playing in another Super Bowl.
