On Monday (July 1), sports video game enthusiasts finally saw what the new NBA 2K20 cover will look like. While there had been rumors that maybe the No. 1 draft pick was in line to grace the game’s front, it’s the man who left New Orleans for the Los Angeles Lakers.

According to Hot New Hip Hop, Anthony Davis is the official NBA 2K20 cover athlete for the standard edition of the upcoming basketball video game. He was acquired by the Los Angeles Lakers in a blockbuster trade just before June’s NBA Draft. That deal brought Davis to the Lakers’ roster while sending Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and draft picks to the New Orleans Pelicans. It marks the second time Davis will appear on an NBA 2K cover, as he also graced the cover of the 2015 release, 2K16.

Anthony Davis isn’t the only NBA 2K20 cover star, though. There is also a special “Legends Edition” of the upcoming game. That will feature multiple-time All-Star and NBA champion Dwyane Wade. He retired from the Miami Heat at the end of the most recent season after a memorable journey in the league. His career included winning multiple titles with the Heat alongside NBA greats Shaquille O’Neal and LeBron James.

In addition to revealing the game’s covers, there was also a teaser trailer released showing off some NBA 2K20 gameplay. It includes a look at some of the league’s top stars in the game such as Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, and LeBron James. There’s also a first look at the new WNBA players that the game will introduce, as well as a quick shot of the back of Zion Williamson’s jersey. Check out the official 2K20 teaser trailer here.

There are three different editions of the new game. The Standard Edition will carry a price of $59.99, while Digital Deluxe will cost $79.99, and Legends Edition will have a cost of $99.99. Customers who pre-order any of the editions will receive special bonus items at launch including virtual currency and packs of player cards for use in the game.

The new NBA 2K20 game is currently available for pre-order through the official 2K website. It arrives for Sony PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on Friday, September 6.
