Large parts campgrounds in the forest have been evacuated as the States firefighters battle the flames attempting to contain the ballooning fire. The California fire has announced that efforts to try to curb the spread of the fire are underway. The fire was ignited on Monday inside the Tahoe National Forest, which is near Emigrant Gap. The officials noted that they were still trying to figure out the cause of the fire. As of 7:45 PM, the North Fire had covered over 700 acres of the forest’s ground. The firefighters have also managed to contain 10 per cent of the fire. The Tahoe National Forest officials said that the fire was spreading at an alarming rate because of the dry thickets and leaves in the forest. Also, the blowing wind that was proliferated by the swinging trees made the fire spread like a raging demon.

Rural homes and campgrounds were the primary focus of the evacuations as of Monday evening. The Placer County Sherriff spokesman, Andre Scott, noted that residents of North Fork, Lodge Pole, Onion Valley, Silvertip, Tunnel mills and Sunflower campgrounds had all been wholly evacuated according to the report that was released on Tuesday morning. The Placer police said that the Campgrounds would remain closed till further notice. However, there wasn’t any other active evacuation as of Tuesday evening. The United States forest service together with help from Placer County Sherriff’s office and the California Fire proceeded with the efforts to try to contain the fire. The team reported that it was working day and night to see the fire contained.

On Tuesday evening, seven helicopters and eight crews were reported to be battling the fire. They never got bothered with the darkness that was covering the forest. The crew said that they were determined to contain the fire that was ignited at the North Fork campground. This was around 2:30 PM. On Tuesday morning, the Caltrans posted on Twitter that the Emigrant gap and Yuba gap off-ramps remained closed due to the flames. The Crystal valley road located at Lake Valley Road was also reported to have been closed as of Tuesday Morning. Scott noted that there was a team that was trying to investigate the cause of the fire. The California fire said that it would add more equipment’s to assist in battling the raging flames. The California spokeswoman said if the flames bulge and become a state problem, they will engage in great strength and contain the fire.
